What runs before you choose
Only strictly necessary cookies, which do not require consent under UK and EU law: a session cookie that keeps you signed in if you have an account, a security cookie that protects forms against cross-site request forgery, and a small local record of your cookie choice itself so we do not ask again on every page.
No analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking runs until you press Accept.
Analytics — only with consent
If you accept, we set a privacy-focused analytics cookie that tells us which pages are read and which tools are used. It is aggregated, it does not follow you to other sites, and we do not use it for advertising.
If you decline, none of it loads. The site works identically either way.
What we never use
No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels, no data brokers, and no social media trackers. We do not run ads, so we have no reason to build a profile of you.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer at any time. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings, which resets the choice and makes us ask again.
Browser storage in our free tools
Our tools use your browser's memory to hold text while you work on it. That is not a cookie, it never leaves your device, and it is cleared when you close the tab.
